The vessel is to comply with the requirements for type “B” ships defined by the International Convention on Load Lines, 1966. The vessel is to be constructed with generally double skin in cargo area. One complete continuous freeboard deck with raked stem, bulbous bow, forecastle deck, vertical transom stern, five (5) tiers of accommodation and a semi-balanced horn type rudder.
Accommodation with navigation space and machinery space are to be located aft.
Double bottom to be arranged in engine room and cargo hold area. The cargo hold area to be divided by transverse bulkheads into five (5) cargo holds, and No. 3 cargo hold is also to serve as ballast tank. Double bottom is divided into port and starboard tanks by one center line pipe duct, five (5) pairs of water ballast tanks to be fitted in way of cargo hold region.
